Research on “conditions of service of commercial vehicle
drivers and their impact on road safety

crashes. Unfortunaetly, very little rersearched knowledge on driver fatigue
is presently available in Ghana. The NRSC with the assistance of DANIDA undertook
a survey on conditions of service of commercial vehicle drivers and their
impact on road safety. One significant finding of the survey was that most
commercial drivers drive for about 16 hours per day (double the maximum 8
hours stipulated in the road regulations. Click to see the full report. view
